The Scope of Work for the WI ILTs detailed engineering included the following:
- Detailed design
- Detailed analyses
- Interface engineering
- Fabrication drawings
- Project management
The following design activities were performed:
- Define structures' functionality, layout and overall design philosophy
- Primarily, optimise design with respect to installation
- Optimise overall performance of ILTs for all phases, i.e. fabrication, lifting, handling, seafastening, installation, tie-in, operation, commissioning and de-commissioning
- Cathodic protection design
- Production of fabrication drawings
The following load scenarios were analysed:
- Flanges and piping loads limitation checks
- Lifting-, handling- and installation operations
- Landing on seabed
- In-place conditions
- Tie-in operations
